This past Saturday, I debuted my 14 new jewelry designs at Art Carnage and am just blown away by the great response!! Thank you to all who stopped by and shopped.
For 2011, I picked designs from my drawings that were more fashion leaning because the glass is small and faces in detail look best behind it. I hand highlighted each piece and for some I used different colors to shake things up a little bit. I also changed my process a little. Now I paint acrylic medium onto the paper after I glue it to the glass, then put a light layer of clear glue on it and follow that up with a light layer of polyurethene. This new process has speeded up the drying time for the polyurethene and let me make more necklaces in a shorter period of time.

- I am a self-taught artist and live in Alexandria, Virginia. My pen and ink drawings are abstract and surrealist, a result of the artist’s journey in understanding the formation and manifestation of the process of thinking. I have a B.S. in psychology from George Mason University and studied art for several years at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, Washington Studio School in Washington, D.C., and The Art League School in Alexandria, Virginia.
